  • Drop-In Archery Education Program ages 8 and up!

For anyone who would like to try shooting a bow we have an introduction to archery class. This program is for people who would like to try out archery without having to buy equipment. We have Genesis compound bows and recurve bows to try out. We emphasize safety, safety, fun, and safety.  The cost is $5.00 which helps to cover the cost of maintaining the equipment and use of the members range.

We have two sessions on Thursday night starting at 6:00 pm & 7:30 pm lasting for 1 1/2 hours each.   For safety reasons we will have to limit each session to a maximum of 30 active participants. Sessions are filled on a first come first served basis.  Parent or guardian must be present for all children under 18.

Large groups should sign-up in advance via our online registration site to ensure space is reserved for your group .  Skookum Members wanting to book archery parties or lessons should contact the club’s Education Director at (253) 770-4177 (please leave a message) or email education@skookumarchers.com.

We have a brief safety presentation for anyone who is new to archery or the Skookum range. These safety presentations will start promptly at 6:00 & 7:30 please plan to arrive early so you can get signed up before they start. You will not be allowed to shoot until you have attended the safety course.  If the safety presentation has started when you arrive we ask that you find a seat quietly and we will restart the presentation from the beginning to cover what you missed.
